Description

RNFA (Registered Nurse)

Location: Pittsfield, Massachusetts Employment Type: Travel/Contract Contract Length: 13 weeks Start: ASAP

Role Overview

RN/FA position for the Main OR, with float coverage to the Main OR
On call as needed
Scrubs are provided for the OR; any scrub color is acceptable

Schedule

Day shift, 4x10-hour shifts (40 hours/week)
7:00 AM to 5:30 PM (described as 7a-3:30p in the posting)

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Massachusetts
First Assist experience of at least 1 year, with experience within the last year
ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
BLS (Basic Life Support)
CNOR (Certified Nurse, OR)
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Other Details

Pass/fail testing on the first day of orientation; the same tests given to permanent RNs; most candidates pass, and remediation is available; no study guides are offered

Pros

Marigold is polite and professional. She goes above and beyond to ensure the contractor is well informed and has everything needed to be successful. She helped me with onboarding and getting used to the timesheet app and she answers my texts promptly, even after hours. She is a great recruiter liason. Gladys was a super helpful with onboarding and Denise will hook you up with benefits with no trouble at all. Great team to work with.

Cons

Onboarding is somewhat tedious, but they do dot every "i" and cross every T.
