CT Tech (Radiology / Cardiology)

Location: Saint Louis Park, Minnesota Employment type: Travel/Contract Contract length: 13 weeks Shift: Night (4x10 hours), 23:00 to 09:00 Hours: 10 per day, 40 per week

Schedule

• No holidays, call, or weekends with these shifts.

Required Qualifications

• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification, preferably from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Proficiency to work alone in CT
• State license verification (primary source online verification)
• Competency exam and medication test/pharmacology competency exam, required as applicable by profession, with a passing score (Angoff score or equivalent)

Preferred Qualifications

• ARRT certification

Other Certifications Listed

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support), preferably from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• National tech certification, as applicable

Background and Clearances

• Minnesota DHS NetStudy fingerprint clearance is required. Candidates must complete the DHS NetStudy questionnaire immediately after signing, complete fingerprints within 2 weeks of registration, and have clearance (or an approved "more time needed" letter) before starting. Candidates not near a livescan location must travel to one before the start date.
• Background check, updated annually, including a 7-year county, nationwide, and sex offender search
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks, both annually
• Driver's license or state ID (government-issued photo ID)

Health Requirements

• Physical exam within 1 year of start
• Negative TB test (PPD, QuantiFERON Gold, or T-SPOT) within 1 year of start, or a negative chest X-ray if past positive; annual TB questionnaire
• Rubeola, mumps, and rubella: titer or 2 MMR doses at least 28 days apart (required for those born in 1957 or later)
• Hepatitis B: titer, declination, or 3-dose vaccine series
• Varicella: titer, 2 vaccines at least 4 weeks apart, or history of chickenpox
• 9-panel drug screen within 1 year of start (instant drug screen acceptable)
• Flu vaccine or declination required during flu season (10/1 to 3/31)

• Emergency contact form, required before start
• Badge information form, to be completed before the housing or badge date
• Skills checklist, required annually
• 2 professional references (travel, allied, or per diem acute care)
• Continuing education: the client follows the state requirement
