School-Based Occupational Therapist (OT) | Full-Time

PediaStaff is excited to announce a full-time opportunity for a School-Based Occupational Therapist (OT) in the Dover, Delaware area for the 2026-2027 school year. We are seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist to join a supportive school district and make a meaningful impact on students' success through direct therapy services, evaluations, and collaboration with educational teams.

Position Details

• Full-time position (37.5 hours per week)
• Monday-Friday schedule, approximately 7:45 AM - 3:15 PM
• ASAP start through June 10, 2027
• School-based setting
• Caseload of approximately 35-40 students
• Responsible for completing evaluations, approving goals, and overseeing service plans for a COTA caseload (no direct supervision required)

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and consultative occupational therapy services
• Conduct evaluations and determine eligibility for services
• Develop measurable IEP goals based on evaluation findings
• Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with families and educational teams
• Complete eligibility documentation and required reports
• Collect progress-monitoring data and provide quarterly progress updates
• Maintain accurate digital therapy notes and documentation for Medicaid billing compliance
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and related service providers to support student success

Qualifications

• Degree in Occupational Therapy required
• Active Occupational Therapy license
• Previous pediatric experience required
• School-based experience preferred
• Strong written, verbal, and organizational skills
