Description

Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery Nurse in Augusta, Georgia. This position involves providing high-quality nursing care to patients in the labor and delivery department. The role requires delivering compassionate, evidence-based care during childbirth and postpartum periods, ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout the process.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Night shift from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week. Candidates must be available to work varying days of the week, including weekends (minimum every other weekend), holidays (minimum two major and two minor), and as needed on call.
  • Required Qualifications: All certifications are required upon hire: RN - Registered Nurse (Single State) or RN - Multi-state Compact, BLS - Basic Life Support or ARC - American Red Cross Basic Life Support or BLS-I - Basic Life Support Instructor. Possession of valid licenses and certifications upon start date.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with direct patient care is preferred. Strong interpersonal, collaborative, and customer service skills are required. Ability to function efficiently in a fast-paced environment, respond to emergencies decisively and respectfully, and possess excellent time management. Nursing practices should be evidence-based with strong critical thinking skills.
  • Additional Information: The position begins on 08/24/2026. The role focuses on delivering quality labor and delivery care, utilizing clinical skills, and adhering to hospital protocols and safety standards.
