Description

Job Summary:
The Intensive Care Unit (ICU) registered nurse (RN) position is located in Greenville, North Carolina. The role involves providing specialized critical care to patients within the ICU setting. Candidates are required to bring their nursing license on the first day of assignment and must have at least two years of relevant ICU experience.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: 36 hours per week, starting on 06/08/2026
  • Required Qualifications: Valid RN license (Compact acceptable), at least 2 years of ICU experience; Certifications include Basic Life Support (BLS) - American Heart Association and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - American Heart Association
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience floating between inpatient units of skill level and below, including ICU, intermediate, and general units; ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Float: Float rotation may be required to meet staffing needs and accommodate floating between ECU Medical Center, Beaufort, and Edgecombe hospitals, which are approximately 35 to 40 minutes away from the primary location
  • Additional Information: The RN will be responsible for providing patient care across various inpatient units, including ICU, intermediate, and general units, with patient ratios of 1:2 in ICU, 1:4-5 in intermediate, and 1:5-7 in general hospital settings. The role involves daily email communication around 0400 or 1640 for shift updates and possible floating to community hospitals as needed.
