Description
Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery Nurse (L&D) Department of Obstetric and Neonatal Care. Located in a healthcare organization, this role entails providing specialized nursing care for women during labor, delivery, and postpartum stages. The position involves working night shifts with the scheduled hours and includes working every third weekend as part of the rotation.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Night shift, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Certification in a relevant nursing specialty, active state licensure, and a minimum of 1 year of experience in Labor and Delivery nursing.
- Preferred Qualifications: Additional certifications such as Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) or Electronic Fetal Heart Monitoring (EFM) preferred.
- Float: Float rotation may be required.
- Additional Information: This position involves providing compassionate and comprehensive care for obstetric patients, including monitoring fetal status, managing labor progress, and supporting patients postpartum. Candidates should adhere to hospital protocols and standards including SOPs and OSHA guidelines.
