Description
Job Summary:
Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) in Iowa City, Iowa. This role involves providing specialized nursing care within a Medical Surgical Cardiology Unit that supports adult patients requiring telemetry monitoring, cardiac procedures, and advanced cardiac support. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of assignment.
Job Details:
- Location: Iowa City, Iowa
- Schedule: Nights shift from 12:00 AM to 12:00 PM, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license, BLS (Basic Life Support) certification, ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification, at least 2 years of experience in large level 1 or large level 2 trauma settings, and experience with adult medical surgical cardiac patients
- Additional Information: Unit type: Medical Surgical Cardiology Unit (4 RCP). Must have large level 1 or large level 2 trauma experience. The unit provides care for postoperative cardiac and thoracic surgery patients, cardiomyopathy, pulmonary hypertension, arrhythmia management, and LVAD patients. The facility is certified for various advanced cardiac and vascular procedures and has received awards from the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses (AACN).
