Job Summary
Intensive Care Unit Neurological (Neuro ICU) Nurse Athens, Texas. This position provides critical care for adult patients in a Neuro ICU environment, including specialized neuro-focused monitoring and post-procedural/neurosurgical care. Candidates must bring their license on the first day.

Job Details

• Schedule: 3x12 hour Nights; Minimum 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications:
  • Certifications: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
  • Location Requirement: State or Compact license must be in hand at time of submittal; License Hit not accepted
• Preferred Qualifications:
  • Neuro Intensive Care Unit (Neuro ICU) experience
  • Previous Charge experience
  • Epic charting experience
  • Community Hospital experience
  • Trauma Level I experience
  • Trauma Level II experience
  • Travel experience
  • 2 years of experience
• Additional Information:
  • Neuro ICU experience is required.
  • Charting system: Epic.
  • Patient ratio: 1:2 nights; weekends: 2; staffing includes interdisciplinary support (including IV teams, Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Interpretation Services, Phlebotomy, Radiology, Social Services, Rapid Response Teams, Pharmacy, and Unit Secretary).
  • Submittal compliance requires all approved time off to be listed at the time of submittal.
  • Previous staff must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler.
  • The organization does not contract travelers residing in the following counties: Henderson, Anderson, Cherokee, Rusk, Panola, Smith, Gregg, Van Zandt, Wood, Upshur, Camp, Hopkins, Franklin, Titus, and Morris.
