Description
Job Description
As a registered nurse - pre-op (RN), or pre-operative nurse, you will prepare patients for surgery. Working at a hospital or surgical center, you'll serve as an advocate for your patients, providing them with information about their upcoming procedures. You'll also start IVs, monitor vital signs, handle paperwork and help alleviate patient fears. You'll play an essential role in preventing disease, providing moral support and sharing education for patients and their families.
Minimum Requirements
- At least 1 year of recent acute care experience in specialty
- Active RN license
