Job Summary:
Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) located in Iowa City, Iowa. This position involves providing specialized nursing care to neuro and vascular patients within a diverse clinical setting. Candidates are required to bring their licenses on the first day to be eligible for employment.
Job Details:
- Unit Type: IMCU (Intermediate Care Unit) Neuro & Vascular Patients
- Shift: Nights
- Shift Hours: 12 hours per shift
- Minimum Hours Per Week: 36 hours
- Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license, BLS (Basic Life Support) certification, ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification, strong neuro experience, level 1 trauma experience, no minimum experience required, must have the ability to work night shift across a minimum of 36 hours weekly.
- Additional Information: The unit primarily accommodates neuro and vascular patients, including low acuity neuro spine cases and all vascular patients. The staffing ratio is targeted at 3:1, with some shifts at 4:1 during nights. Candidates must have strong neuro experience and trauma background. Candidate flexibility to start between 06/22/2026 and 06/29/2026 is required.
- Float: Float rotation may be required.
- Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum 36 hours per week.
- Certifications Required: BLS, ACLS
