Job Summary:
Registered Nurse (RN), Telemetry specialty located in Greenville, North Carolina. Candidates are required to bring their nursing license on the first day. This position involves providing specialized telemetry care for adult patients with complex hematologic, oncologic, and cardiac conditions, within a 48-bed unit.

Job Details:

• Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) required; Oncology background and Phlebotomy skills are preferred.
• Education and Experience: Licensed as an RN (Compact license accepted); minimum of 2 years of telemetry experience; no minimum experience required.
• Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Additional Information: Staffing ratios are 1:4 RN to patient and 1:8 Nursing Assistant to patient, with the possibility of adjustments (up to 1:5 or 1:6) if needed. All time off must be negotiated prior to confirmation. Candidates will analyze cardiac rhythms independently; the unit is not monitored by monitor technicians. Skills utilized include administering chemotherapy, managing continuous infusion medications, pain management, wound care, central lines, tracheotomy patients, chest tubes, IV starts, peripheral lab draws, arterial blood draws, and various intravenous drips including cardiac, insulin, and heparin. The candidate must pass EKG and pharmacy exams during the compliance process prior to start. Use of ancillary staff is required.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
