Description

Job Summary:
Gastroenterology Laboratory (GI LAB) located in Modesto, California. This role involves providing specialized nursing support in a clinical laboratory setting. Candidates are required to bring their California Registered Nurse (RN) license on the first day of assignment. The schedule is dayshift, with a typical shift of 8 hours, and a minimum of 40 hours per week.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Dayshift, 8 hours per day, minimum of 40 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Valid California RN license, BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certifications, at least 2 years of clinical experience, California residency or license, and recent Nursys verification within the last 2 weeks
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience in a community hospital setting, trauma level experience (Level I or II), Epic Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience, trauma level I experience, teaching hospital experience, and previous experience working with specialized laboratory units
  • Additional Information: Candidates must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and have received the flu vaccine. All compliance documents, including vaccination records and references (one within the past year and one covering a full year of employment), must be submitted 10 days prior to the start date. Onboarding includes completing labs within 3-5 days of signing the contract.
  • Notes: Candidate submission notes include a focus on trauma level I experience, teaching hospital background, Epic EMR experience, and note that facility declined due to not having PALS at submission. References are required, and previous manager names are needed for application processing.
