Job Summary:
Medical Surgical Oncology Floor professional in a healthcare setting, providing specialized care for oncology patients. The role involves managing complex medical cases during 12-hour day and night shifts, with a focus on patient monitoring, chemotherapy administration, respiratory care, and end-of-life support. This position requires excellent communication skills and the ability to handle rapidly changing patient conditions.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 12-hour day/night shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid drivers license or state ID; completion of UHS skills checklist, UHS submission packet, and UHS prior employment form; minimum of 2 years of relevant experience; must have ACLS certification; experience with interpretation of cardiac arrhythmias; expert in chemotherapy administration and monitoring of side effects; high level of respiratory care including tracheostomy management, chest tubes, Airvo, CPAP/BIPAP; ability to identify rapidly changing patient conditions and multitask in critical situations; experience with end-of-life care/hospice services; location requirements consistent with the assignment period.
• Preferred Qualifications: Complex medical oncology population experience; STEP DOWN experience highly preferred.
• Additional Information: The position involves managing a complex oncology patient population with critical care needs, including respiratory management and end-of-life care. Candidates must be proficient in handling high-acuity situations and demonstrating excellent communication skills.
