Description

Job Summary
Medical Surgical Oncology Registered Nurse (RN) San Antonio, Texas. The organization is seeking an RN with oncology experience to provide care for patients requiring chemotherapy administration and related treatments on a rotating day/night schedule. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.

Job Details

Schedule: Rotating 12-hour shifts (7:00 AM7:30 PM / 7:00 PM7:30 AM); minimum 36 hours per week.
Required Qualifications: Active Texas RN license (temporary license not accepted); Basic Life Support (BLS); oncology/Med-Surg/Tele RN experience; at least 5+ years of experience; experience with mediprots/peripherally inserted central catheters (PICCs)/central lines; ability to support chemotherapy administration and related nursing care.
Preferred Qualifications: Chemotherapy certification; Meditech experience.
Additional Information: Oncology unit responsibilities include chemotherapy administration, chlorhexidine gluconate (CHG) baths (including central lines and dressings), central line dressing changes, mediport access and lab draws, and blood product transfusion support.
