Description
Job Summary:
The Emergency Room (ER) Clinical Nurse I, II, III, IV is responsible for coordinating and implementing patient care specific to the age and needs of the patient population served on the assigned units. The role involves ensuring that quality care is provided efficiently and safely, in alignment with unit standards of care. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of employment.
Job Details:
- Location: Santa Fe, New Mexico
- Authorization to work in the United States with a current New Mexico Registered Nurse (RN) license or a current Compact state license
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification from the American Heart Association (AHA); Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Certification from AHA; Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Certification from AHA or Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC); Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) or Adult Trauma Nursing Course (ATCN)
- Shift: Nights, 7:00 PM 7:00 AM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week, starting on 07/27/2026
- Experience: No minimum experience required
- Skills: Current knowledge and skills appropriate to the age/type of patient population served; knowledgeable and sensitive to patients rights; clear and concise communication appropriate to the developmental age of patients
- Environment: Exposure to infectious diseases, working in a clean, well-lighted, ventilated, smoke-free environment; subject to stressful professional relationships; flexible hours due to unexpected schedule changes and emergencies
- Physical Requirements: Ability to handle emergency and crisis situations, prolonged standing and walking, physical effort to position or transfer patients and equipment, reaching, bending, crouching, judging distances and spatial relationships, normal or corrected hearing and visual acuity, manual dexterity and fine motor skills
- Additional Information: Every other weekend work required; voluntary on-call; floating to assist during low census
