Description
Job Summary:
The operating room open heart surgeon in Nashville, Tennessee, is responsible for providing specialized cardiac surgical procedures within a busy level 1 trauma and cardiac center. Candidates must bring their medical license on the first day and possess a minimum of 2 years of cardiac operating room experience, including CVOR (Cardiovascular Operating Room) skills. This position requires adaptability to varying shift schedules, with work primarily scheduled during daytime hours.
Job Details:
- Location: Nashville, Tennessee
- Shift: 12-hour daytime shifts, Monday through Friday
- Minimum Hours Per Week: 36.0 hours
- Required Qualifications: Valid medical license; minimum of 2 years CVOR OR experience; prior travel experience; experience working in a level 1 trauma center; proficiency in circulating and scrubbing for cardiac surgeries.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with adult cardiac procedures, including complex CABG, valve surgery, ECMO, VAD, heart and lung transplants, and adult congenital conditions. Experience with Epic, Cerner, or Meditech electronic medical record systems.
- Additional Information: Candidate is willing to take call (three layers, 24-7), in addition to scheduled daytime shifts; call requirements vary every 6 weeks.
