Description
Job Summary:
Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Medical Surgical with Telemetry (MS/Tele) is sought for a position in Rochester, New York. The role involves providing specialized care for patients post percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI), pacemakers, atrioventricular conduction devices, post-myocardial infarction, and cardiac pharmacologic interventions. Candidates are required to bring their active New York Single State RN license on the first day of employment.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, with a minimum of 48 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Active New York Single State Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in hand; ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications are required; minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in a Medical Surgical with Telemetry setting; EPIC charting system experience; clinical skills include IV therapy, blood product administration, peripheral line care, cardiac monitoring, emergency response, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, rapid response and code team use, nasal cannula, non-invasive airway management, oxygen and oxygen tanks, isolation precautions, and wound care/wound vac.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with blood product administration, interpretation of dysrhythmias, and EPIC charting experience.
- Float: Will be required to float within skillset.
- Additional Information: Candidates must be available to work every other holiday; within 75 miles of the facility are not accepted; must be able to work in a high-volume, specialized cardiac care setting with a 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio (1:7 for MedSurg); unit has 26 beds focusing on post-interventional cardiac care; candidates are expected to float within their skill set; modules up to 10 hours are billable, with 5 hours billable per module; all requests, including RTO and scheduling, must be included with submission; candidates with foreign education require verification; background policy is reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
