Description

Job Summary:

The registered nurse (RN) specializing in intensive care unit (ICU) cardiovascular at this location in Minneapolis, Minnesota, provides comprehensive and holistic patient care within a high-acuity setting. The RN is responsible for executing nursing standards and delivering skilled care to adult and geriatric patients, including those undergoing fresh open heart surgery. Candidates are required to bring their licenses on the first day of employment.

Required Qualifications: Valid Minnesota nursing license; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification; at least 1 year of recent experience relevant to the specialty; experience with fresh open heart surgery patients; proficiency in interpretation of cardiac rhythms; experience with Impella and balloon pumps; Epic electronic medical record (EMR) system experience; adult and geriatric patient care experience.
Additional Information: Familiarity with clinical skills beyond standard RN responsibilities may be required for specific units. Candidates must include all RTO requests at the time of submittal, as they may not be honored afterwards. Work history must be current to the last year with relevant skills listed and include two supervisory references with employment dates.
