Description
Job Summary:
The organization is seeking a qualified Registered Nurse (RN) for a Labor and Delivery (L&D) department located in Bismarck, North Dakota. This role involves providing care to L&D patients, postpartum mothers and infants, and gynecologic surgical postop patients. Candidates are required to bring their nursing licenses on the first day of assignment. The position entails working straight nights, with every other weekend and holiday shifts.
Job Details:
- Location: Bismarck, North Dakota
- Schedule: 12-hour nights with some days; minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Valid BLS (Basic Life Support), NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program), and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications; minimum of 3 years experience in Labor and Delivery, Postpartum, and Gynecology nursing; current licensure required
- Preferred Qualifications: STABLE (30 hours preferred), experience with fetal monitoring and OBIX documentation, experience working in an acute care setting using EPIC or similar electronic charting systems
- Float: Float rotation may be required as needed to nursery and NICU units
- Additional Information:
- Client may cancel up to 12 hours every 13 weeks
- 36 hours of orientation provided for travelers
- Help in the nursery and NICU as needed
- Bed size: 19 beds
- Nurse-to-patient ratios: 1:1 or 1:2 in L&D, 1:3 for mom/baby couples, and a combined 1:5-6 for GYN patients
- Dress code: Navy blue scrubs for GYN and mom/baby care or hospital-provided scrubs for L&D
- The unit uses EPIC charting system
