Description
Job Summary:
Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Registered Nurse (RN) position in Reston, Virginia. This role involves providing specialized care to neonatal patients in a family-centered environment. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.
Job Details:
- Location: Reston, Virginia
- Shift Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Valid RN license, Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification, experience working in a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) is preferred.
- Schedule: Night shift with 5 staff per shift including a charge nurse, full-time schedule with approximately 5 weekend shifts every 4 weeks, no mandatory on-call.
- Additional Information: Unit features 16 beds, a staff of 35, and a patient ratio of 1:2. Typical procedures include intubation, umbilical line placement, peripherally inserted central catheter (PICC) placement, lumbar punctures, and X-rays. The ideal candidate is family-centered, caring, and flexible. Floating responsibilities include Labor & Delivery and Post-partum units as a baby nurse. Dress code requires NAVY scrubs.
