Job Summary:
The organization is seeking a Travel Nurse specializing in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) located in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. The position involves providing specialized care in a Cardiac Surgical Intensive Care Unit (CSICU) and stepdown unit for adult and geriatric patients with cardiac, thoracic, vascular, and other surgical conditions requiring critical care. Candidates must bring their nursing license on the first day. This role requires a minimum of two years of experience in the specialty.
Job Details:
- Location: Tuscaloosa, Alabama
- Shift: Nights, 12-hour shifts
- Minimum Hours Per Week: 36 hours
- Required Qualifications: Associated degree in nursing; Registered Nurse license in Alabama or a compact license (no temporary licenses accepted); AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) or Red Cross certification; 2 years of experience in the specialty; candidates must be willing to float to other units/hospitals.
- Preferred Qualifications: AHA Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification if working in a pediatric unit.
- Schedule: 36 hours per week, nights, with holidays as required and every other weekend.
- Additional Information: The position involves working in a clinical environment, with primary and backup timesheet approvers designated. Scrub colors/dress code are solid navy.
- Float: Float rotation may be required.
