Description
Job Summary:
The organization is seeking a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) Nurse for a nationally recognized facility located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. This position involves providing specialized nursing care in a high acuity cardiac pediatric intensive care unit on a 12-hour night shift. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of employment.
Job Details:
- Location: Milwaukee, Wisconsin
- Shift: 12-hour nights; 7:00 p.m. - 7:30 a.m., with rotation every other week-end and holiday rotation every other week
- Schedule: 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: ASN or BSN education; WI or Compact RN license; AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications; 12 - 18 months of independent nursing experience in a high acuity cardiac PICU; Level I Trauma experience highly preferred
- Preferred Qualifications: Bachelors Degree in Nursing (BSN); AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred but not required
- Additional Information: Use critical thinking and expertise in cardiac assessments; care for high acuity cardiac PICU patients including open heart surgery, transplants, and open chests; flu vaccine required or willing to obtain; float to NICU and PICU as needed
