Job Summary:
Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Step Down Unit located in Atlanta, Georgia. The position involves providing care for post-cardiac surgery patients in an advanced progressive care environment. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day. This role is scheduled for night shifts.

Job Details:

• Required Qualifications: Valid Georgia or compact license in hand; at least 18 months of experience in the specialty within the past 3 years; ACLS certification; no vent experience required.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience working with post-CABG cardiac surgery patients and LVADs is advantageous.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information: This unit operates like an intensive care unit but is classified as an advanced progressive care unit due to patient ratios, which are typically 1:4 or 1:5. The unit admits 24-hour post-cardiac surgery patients, including those with chest tubes, LVADs, and other complex needs. An electronic rhythm identification test (proctored) will be administered, with two attempts allowed.
