Description
Job Summary:
A Step Down Unit registered nurse is needed in the Bronx, New York. This role involves providing acute care in a specialized hospital setting, with an emphasis on cardiac and transplant patients. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of orientation.
Job Details:
- Location: Bronx, New York
- Schedule: Night shifts, 11.5 hours per shift, minimum of 34.5 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Valid New York licensure, ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), BLS (Basic Life Support) certification, 2 years of experience in cardiac and transplant critical care, EPIC charting system experience, VAD (Ventricular Assist Device) experience, and extensive knowledge in management of arrhythmias, heart failure, transplant medications, liver and kidney transplants; experience in Cardio Thoracic procedures, CABG (Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting), TAVR (Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement), and valve replacement required.
- Additional Information: Pass/Fail testing given at 7a on the first day of orientation. Float to ICU may be required, no call-off policy with a 14-day written cancellation notice.
