Description

Job Summary:
A Critical Care Registered Nurse (ICU) is sought for an assignment located in Washington, District of Columbia. The position involves providing specialized care in a multidisciplinary ICU unit that accommodates neurological, neuro-surgical, medical, surgical, pulmonary, cardiology, cardiothoracic, and trauma patients. Candidates are required to bring their license to practice as a Registered Nurse on the first day. The ICU is a dynamic environment utilizing advanced technology to deliver critical patient care.

Job Details:

  • Location: Washington, District of Columbia
  • Specialty: Intensive Care Unit
  • Shift: Nights, 3 x 12-hour shifts with am/pm rotation
  • Schedule: Night shifts, 36 hours per week minimum
  • Required Qualifications: Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in state/district; ICU Experience 3 Years; Cerner experience; Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program; Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing (BSN) highly desired.
  • Additional Information: The ICU provides care for a variety of high-acuity patients using technology such as ventilators, cardiac monitors, pulmonary artery catheters, arterial and central lines, PICC lines, ECMO/tandem heart, BIS monitors, continuous pulse oximetry, CRRT, gastric tubes, and infusion pumps. The role involves fulfilling patient, family, and community needs through comprehensive critical care functions.
