Description

Job Summary:
Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Intensive Care Unit (ICU) care in the District of Columbia. This position involves providing high-acuity patient care in a multidisciplinary critical care environment, supporting patients with neurological, neuro-surgical, medical, surgical, pulmonary, cardiology, cardiothoracic, and trauma needs. The role requires proficiency with various advanced medical technologies and adherence to established clinical standards.

Job Details:

  • Shift: Rotating schedule with 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Valid license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state/district; ICU experience of at least 3 years; current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS); graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program; BSN degree highly preferred; proficiency with Cerner electronic medical record system.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with neuro and trauma patient care, familiarity with ventilators, intracranial pressure monitoring, cardiac monitors, pulmonary artery catheters, arterial lines, central and PICC lines, Impella, BIS monitors, CRRT, and other critical care technologies.
  • Additional Information: The ICU provides care for a diverse patient population utilizing advanced technological interventions. Candidates must demonstrate the ability to perform a variety of patient care tasks directed by licensure, certification, training, and regulatory standards. Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility location.
