Description
Job Summary:
The organization is seeking an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Registered Nurse in Washington, District of Columbia. The role involves providing critical care to neurological, neuro-surgical, medical, surgical, pulmonary, cardiology, cardiothoracic, and trauma patients within a multidisciplinary unit. The ICU team utilizes various advanced technologies to monitor and support patient needs, including ventilators, cardiac monitors, pulmonary artery catheters, and extracorporeal membrane oxygenation systems. The successful candidate will perform a variety of patient care functions in accordance with licensure, certification, training, and regulatory requirements.
Job Details:
- Location: Washington, District of Columbia
- Shift Schedule: Rotating shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications:
- Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of District of Columbia
- Three years of ICU experience
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications
- Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) highly desired
- Must reside within 50 miles of the facility
- Cerner experience preferred

- The role requires performing patient care tasks aligned with licensure, certifications, and training.
- Start date is scheduled for August 24, 2026.
