Job Summary
A Registered Nurse specializing in Labor and Delivery (L&D) is needed for a position at a birthing center in Washington. The role involves providing care to mothers and babies during labor, delivery, and postpartum, with responsibilities including attending low-risk deliveries, assisting with transitioning babies, and working within the mother-baby unit. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.

Job Details

  • Location: SILVERDALE, Washington
  • Schedule: Days shift, 12-hour shifts, a minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: RN license; Certifications including Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP); at least 2 years of previous experience, including Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum (LDRP) experience; must be comfortable attending deliveries independently, assisting with catch and transition of babies, and working in a mother-baby environment. Experience in a travel setting preferred.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system EPIC.
  • Float: Float rotation may be required as needed within mother-baby and postpartum units.
  • Additional Information: The unit maintains a friendly environment with consistent feedback from management to ensure quality care. Travelers should be able to perform routine mother and baby competencies, assist in low-risk deliveries, and transition babies effectively. No floating outside of the designated department is required.
  • Notes: Travelers must submit two years of references with their application. The initial orientation includes an 8-hour compliance session and 8 hours of EPIC training, followed by 2-3 shifts of unit-specific orientation. The start date for this position is June 22, 2026.
