Job Summary:
Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Progressive Care Unit (PCU) located in Baltimore, Maryland. The role involves caring for high acuity adult patients with cardiac and pulmonary conditions, including vent management and dysrhythmia management. Candidates are required to bring their nursing license on the first day and must meet the specified experience and certification requirements.
Job Details:
- Location: Baltimore, Maryland
- Position: Registered Nurse (RN) - Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
- Shift: Nights, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Certifications: BLS and ACLS required.
- Required Qualifications: RN license, at least 2 years of nursing experience with IMC (Intermediate Medical Care) or similar high-acuity nursing, vent experience, dysrhythmia management, EPIC electronic medical record experience, and previous travel experience in at least 2 roles.
- Preferred Qualifications: Critical Care Certification, trauma course, orientation scheduled for the 2nd and 4th Monday of each month.
- Patient Ratios: PCU 1:4, IMC 1:3, Med Surg 1:5.
- Additional Responsibilities: Holiday coverage as needed, float as needed between PCU, IMC, and Med Surg units.
- Special Notes: Previous employment with any Johns Hopkins health system facility must be disclosed on the coversheet and within the work history for verification purposes. Candidates are requested to confirm prior employment before submission.
