Job Summary:
Vascular Access Nurse in Baltimore, Maryland. This role involves working with the vascular access team to perform peripheral IV insertions, including ultrasound-guided procedures, and routine central line care. Candidates must have an active Registered Nurse (RN) license and bring their license on the first day of employment. The position requires a minimum of two years of nursing experience and involves night shifts, with a schedule of 12-hour shifts. Candidates with pediatric experience and recent IV placement in Emergency Department, Intensive Care Unit, Pre-Operative, or Labor and Delivery settings are preferred.

Job Details:

• Location: Baltimore, Maryland
• Required Qualifications: Active RN license; Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience; 1-2 completed travel assignments; BLS certification required; Pediatric experience preferred but not required; Adult vascular access experience strongly preferred; Vascular access team experience preferred but will consider recent IV placement experience from ED, ICU, Pre Op, or Labor Delivery; Candidates must have previously worked in any capacity for any healthcare facility within the Johns Hopkins system (staff, PRN, or travel), noted on the coversheet and in the work history.
• Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum 36 hours per week. Orientation is scheduled for the 2nd and 4th Monday of the month.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information: No availability call requirements.
• Submission Requirements: If previously employed at Johns Hopkins facilities, candidates must be gone for one full year before applying as a traveler.
