Job Summary:
This Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) nurse position is located in Boise, Idaho. The role involves providing preoperative care for patients across all ages, from pediatrics to geriatrics, excluding cardiac procedures. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of the assignment.

Job Details:

  • Location: Boise, Idaho
  • Specialty: PACU (Post Anesthesia Care Unit)
  • Shift Schedule: Rotating shifts of 8 or 10 hours, scheduled from 0600 to 1430 or 0600 to 1630, with a minimum of 12 hours availability for travelers. Minimal day off rotations on Monday through Friday; no weekends or call required.
  • Required Qualifications: Certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS); minimum of 0 years of experience; must have an active license to submit; EPIC electronic medical record experience.
  • Additional Information: The unit features a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:1-3, with two charge nurses per shift, and support staff including two health care coordinators and four certified nursing assistants (CNAs). The environment includes a hospital orientation day and a department-specific orientation day, with no floating requirements unless experienced with post-anesthesia recovery.
