Job Summary:
The Lewiston, Maine-based Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) position involves providing care in a maternity unit that serves neonates and adults. Candidates are required to bring their nursing license on the first day. The role involves managing obstetrical patients, assisting with vaginal and cesarean deliveries, and postpartum care within a Level 3 trauma facility.

Job Details:

• Location: Lewiston, ME
• Specialty: Labor and Delivery (L&D)
• Schedule: Night shift, 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM (3x12-hour shifts), minimum 36 hours per week
• Certifications: Valid NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) and BLS (Basic Life Support); ACLS and AWHONN Intermediate certifications are preferred
• Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license; minimum 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery, LDRP and postpartum care; experience managing a three couplet assignment; proficiency with External Fetal Heart Monitoring, Peripheral IV placement, postpartum procedures, and neonatal assessments
• Additional Information: No first-time travelers; no pre-approved Rime offers per contract; must be capable of triaging obstetrical patients, managing epidural anesthesia, and postpartum procedures
• Equipment and Patient Population: EFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring), EPIC, Powerchart, Omnicell Med System; neonates and adults
• Role involves assisting with vaginal and cesarean deliveries, postpartum care, and neonatal assessments; focus on obstetrical triage, fetal monitoring, and postpartum procedures
