Job Summary
Critical Care Registered Nurse (RN) in Florence, Alabama, working in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). This position involves managing adult and geriatric patients requiring advanced critical care interventions. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.

Job Details

• Location: Florence, Alabama
• Shift: Nights (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM) with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license, 5 years of experience in critical care, proficiency in nursing skills such as IV starts and blood draws, NG tube placements, ECG rhythm interpretation, Lab and ABG interpretation, management of critical care drips and titrations, ventilators, arterial lines, chest tubes, Central Venous lines (including Large-Volume Vas Caths), experience in bedside procedures and conscious sedation, ability to communicate effectively with patients and families. Certifications required include Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience in a teaching hospital with resident physicians; experience managing advanced devices like CRRT, IABP, arterial sheath pulls; background in SICU, MICU, CVICU, Neuro ICU, or Progressive Care Units (PCU)/Med-Surg.
• Additional Information: The position involves float responsibilities within critical care units, including CVICU overflow, Critical Care Step-Down, and Med-Surg departments if staffing requires. Blue scrubs are mandatory, and neutral-colored T-shirts, sweatshirts, or vests with NAMC logo are permitted.
