Job Summary:
Medical Surgical Floor Nurse in Tulsa, Oklahoma. This position involves providing direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols of the healthcare organization. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day. The role supports a general surgical adult population with telemetry capability, utilizing critical thinking skills and decisive judgment to work with minimal supervision.
Job Details:
- Location: Tulsa, Oklahoma
- Schedule: Night shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license; experience not specified but candidates with minimal experience are welcome to apply.
- Responsibilities include implementing and monitoring patient care plans, assessing patient conditions, serving as a primary coordinator of multidisciplinary care, interpreting physician and nursing orders, and coordinating discharge planning.
- Personal Protective Equipment: Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
- Additional Information: This department is a 28-bed unit serving a general surgical adult population with telemetry capability. Nurse to patient ratio is approximately 1:5-6. The unit is supported by PCTs and a Healthcare Unit Coordinator, with utilization of virtual sitter monitoring and telemetry monitoring resources.
