Description
Job Summary:
Medical Surgical Nurse (MS) in Wyoming responsible for providing direct, individualized nursing care to adult and adolescent patients in a hospital setting. This role involves coordination with the healthcare team, medication administration, patient education, and monitoring patient status during various stages of treatment. Candidates must bring their Wyoming Registered Nurse (RN) license on the first day of employment.
Job Details:
- Location: Lander, Wyoming
- Schedule: Nights; 12-hour shifts; minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Valid Wyoming Registered Nurse (RN) license or multi-state RN license; valid Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications through the American Heart Association; 0 years of recent Med/Surg RN experience in a hospital setting
- Additional Information: Candidates may be responsible for caring for pediatric/adolescent patients on occasion. Float rotation between the Lander and Riverton campuses may be required depending on facility census. Must have ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications attached to submission packet; Wyoming RN or multi-state RN license must be attached to resume; the SageWest coversheet must be attached to the submission.
- Responsibility Notes: The role includes bedside care, medication administration, patient education, dressing changes, catheter insertions, IV starts, and participation in discharge planning.
