Job Summary
The healthcare technician specializing in Certified Operating Room Technology (OR Technician) will be positioned in an operating room unit located in Asheville, North Carolina. This role involves supporting surgical teams by preparing operating rooms, maintaining sterile environments, and assisting during various surgical procedures across multiple service lines, including general surgery, gynecology, robotics, neuro, orthopedics, plastic surgery, urology, burn care, and trauma. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of assignment.

Job Details

• Location: Asheville, North Carolina
• Schedule: Days shift; 8 hours per shift; minimum of 40 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Certifications (ORT CERT), relevant surgical experience in service lines such as general, GYN, robotics, neuro, orthopedics, plastic surgery, urology, burn and trauma; must have a skill level of 3 or higher in joint, neuro, ortho, or vascular procedures; candidates should have a minimum of 0 years of experience, be licensed as an Operating Room Technician, and be able to support patient care activities within sterile environments.
• Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience working with Cerner documentation system and adaptable to variable scheduling and call requirements.
• Additional Information: The role requires supporting complex surgical procedures, adhering to hospital policies, and working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Candidates should be comfortable floating to other departments if needed.
