Job Summary:
An Operating Room Open Heart Surgical Technologist position is available in Midland, Michigan. This role involves working within a tertiary care center or designated level I or II trauma center, supporting cardiovascular operating room procedures. Candidates are required to bring their professional license on the first day of employment.

Job Details:

• Location: Midland, Michigan
• Certifications: Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) required; Active National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) Certification required
• Years of Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of cardiovascular operating room (CVOR) experience, including open heart procedures required
• Schedule: On-call rate for CVOR is $9; 1-2 call nights per week and every third weekend; weekend work required every third weekend
• Required Qualifications: Current skills checklist pertinent to the CVOR specialty, completed within the last year; two supervisory reference forms completed within the last two years; work history demonstrating expertise in cardiovascular surgeries; experience floating to general operating rooms as needed; experience in tertiary care or designated level I or II trauma centers
• Additional Information: Candidates must meet all qualification requirements and demonstrate proficiency in sterile field maintenance, equipment assembly, and surgical procedure support. Candidates should be comfortable with on-call responsibilities as defined.
