Job Summary:
Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at a healthcare facility located in Birmingham, Alabama. This role involves providing high-level patient care in a specialized unit that handles neuro and medical surgical patients. Candidates are required to bring their nursing license on the first day of work.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Nights shift, 1830 - 0700; 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: RN Licensure; Certifications: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS); Experience: 0 years or more; Location: Birmingham, Alabama
- Preferred Qualifications: Neuro/Intensive Care experience; Ability to work in a fast-paced, neuro-focused environment
- Float: Float rotation may be required
- Additional Information: Position requires working in a 12-bed ICU with patient ratios of 1:1, 1:2, or 1:3. The unit manages ventilators, arterial lines, central venous lines, and other ICU equipment, using Cerner electronic medical records. Candidates should be able to adapt to neuro and intensive care patient needs, adhering to unit protocols and dress code of navy scrubs.
