Job Details:
- Location: Asheville, North Carolina
- Schedule: Nights, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Certifications include Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support (PHTL / ITLS), Basic Life Support (BLS); North Carolina Paramedic Certification; one year of full-time active pre-hospital care or equivalent; two years of satisfactory driving experience to meet insurance guidelines; valid North Carolina Paramedic License with Continuing Education (CE) requirements met.
- Preferred Qualifications: Candidates with board certification with Buncombe County Medical Director, Bachelor's degree in Emergency Medical Services (EMS).
- Additional Information: The role involves providing behavioral health transport, wheelchair van, or BLS van duties depending on staffing needs. Candidates will be expected to adhere to unit policies and dress code (uniform provided). The position includes working one weekend per month scheduled.
- Float: Float rotation may be required.
