Job Summary:
Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) position located in Danville, Virginia. The role involves providing care on a 24-bed medical surgical unit serving patients of all ages. Candidates are required to bring their licensure to work as an RN in Virginia on the first day of assignment. This position offers an opportunity to work in a well-established healthcare facility with a focus on patient-centered care.

Job Details:

• Location: Danville, Virginia
• Schedule: Day shift from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid licensure to practice as an RN in Virginia; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Healthcare Worker Certification (HWC) available on-site; NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS); 1+ years of experience in Medical Surgical nursing
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in Medical Surgical setting for 2+ years; proficiency with Meditech electronic health record system; strong professional demeanor
• Float: Float rotation may be required as needed
• Additional Information: Orientation sessions are held bi-weekly on Tuesdays. Candidates must reside 60 miles or more from the facility to be considered. All travelers must have required certifications prior to start and complete consent for random drug screening and a criminal questionnaire. Random drug screens are conducted on-site.
