Job Summary:
Anesthesia Registered Nurse (RN) opportunity in Wausau, Wisconsin, at an organizations healthcare facility. This role involves providing anesthesia care and support across a variety of surgical specialties, with a primary focus on cardiothoracic procedures. The position requires a highly skilled professional to work within a dynamic OR environment, supporting anesthesia providers throughout diverse surgeries.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Rotating shifts; 8-hour shifts with a guaranteed 40 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Wisconsin Registered Nurse (RN) license or compact RN license, BLS or ARC Basic Life Support certification, ACLS certification, Associates Degree or Nursing Certificate, a minimum of 3 years of OR experience with anesthesia experience required, prior travel experience preferred.
• Preferred Qualifications: Strong OR/CVOR circulating experience; prior conscious sedation experience; excellent critical thinking skills.
• Additional Information: Responds within 30 minutes in the OR due to on-call responsibilities, including one night of call per week, one weekend per month, and backup calls. Must have reliable transportation, as a vehicle is required. Duties include assisting with intubations, fiber optic scopes, sterile techniques, arterial and central line placements, lumbar drains, Swan Ganz catheters, starting IVs, drawing labs, setting up medication pumps, and operating Belmont, Cell Saver, and Level I equipment. Flexible candidate with a strong work ethic, resilience, and adaptability is preferred. Two-week orientation with additional anesthesia skills training will be provided. During flu season, compliance with vaccination policies is mandatory, including wearing masks if declined. Scrub colors will be provided.
