Job Summary:
Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Progressive Care Unit (PCU) located in Asheville, North Carolina. This position involves providing compassionate patient care in an inpatient overflow unit featuring medical surgical and step-down patients. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day to ensure compliance with certification requirements.

Job Details:

• Location: Asheville, North Carolina
• Position Type: Contract
• Shift: Days; 12-hour shift hours; minimum of 36 hours per week
• Start Date: June 15, 2026
• Number of Positions: 1
• Required Qualifications: Must have BLS and ACLS certifications; experience in progressive care nursing; cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications; clinical experience relevant to the role; ability to work in North Carolina; no minimum experience required.
• Preferred Qualifications: Recent progressive care experience preferred; telemetry competency.
• Float: Float rotation may be required to other units as needed.
• Additional Information:
  • Unit type: Inpatient overflow unit with medical surgical and step-down patients
  • Patient ratios: 1:5/1:6 stretch dependent on level of care
  • Short stay (24-hour length of stay) patients targeted to this unit with quick turnover
  • Telemetry monitoring: Patients are hardwired to bedside monitors if telemetry is indicated
  • Dress Code: Scrubs in navy and/or white tops with navy bottoms, all white shoes
  • Weekends: Every other weekend required; no on-call responsibilities
  • Equipment: Telemetry monitoring system
