Description

Job Summary
A Sterile Processing Technician in Hermiston, Oregon, is responsible for receiving, cleaning, sterilizing, and reprocessing reusable medical and surgical supplies throughout the healthcare facility. Candidates must bring their license on the first day. This position requires working the evening shift with hours from 10:00 AM to 10:30 PM, three days per week.

  • Required Qualifications: High School graduate or GED; completion of a Sterile Processing Technician Program; Sterile Processing Technician Certification; CRASE training; BLS certification; no specific experience required; preferred previous sterile processing experience
  • Additional Information: Receives and reprocesses reusable instruments, performs cleaning and sterilization duties, prepares and assembles surgical supplies and instrumentation, maintains sterile processing areas, manages inventory control in surgery, and adheres to safety and organizational protocols. Must follow established sterilization and safety procedures, operate sterilization equipment safely, interpret biological and chemical indicator results, and support quality improvement initiatives. Physical requirements include the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods, while working conditions involve exposure to infectious materials and a fast-paced healthcare environment.
