Description
Job Summary:
The Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) position is located in Danville, Virginia. This role involves providing emergency care in a 31-bed trauma unit serving patients of all ages. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day. The position entails working rotating weekend shifts and as needed, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Nights shift, 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week. Rotating weekends/as needed.
- Required Qualifications: Certifications including Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), Handle with Care (available on-site), National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC); 5+ years of experience in Emergency Department; Virginia state license or appropriate licensing for practice in Virginia.
- Preferred Qualifications: Extensive experience in Emergency Room settings and ability to handle a high-paced environment.
- Additional Information: The facility has 31 beds with 2 Triage rooms, serves all ages, and utilizes MedHost (ED) and Meditech electronic health record systems for admit holds and behavioral health management. The unit operates with a patient ratio of approximately 1:4, with exceptions during high-volume periods.
- Float: As Needed.
