Description

Job Summary:
Emergency Room Nurse in Omaha, Nebraska. This position involves working in a high-acuity, Level I Trauma Center emergency department with a focus on trauma, stroke, sepsis, chest pain, and shortness of breath cases. Candidates are required to bring their RN license on the first day of orientation.

Job Details:

  • Location: Omaha, Nebraska
  • Specialty: Emergency Room
  • Schedule: Night shifts with 12-hour shifts available (e.g., 0700-1900, 0900-2100, 1100-2300, 1500-0300, 1900-0700), minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: RN License, BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, TNCC certifications, minimum of 2 years of recent ER experience, must be within 50 miles radius, no full-time/part-time/PRN with related facilities associated with a certain health organization, recent level I or level II trauma experience, valid driver's license at submission
  • Preferred Qualifications: NRP certification, Pediatric Certification
  • Float: Float rotation may be required to OBS unit and Freestanding ER at least once a week
  • Additional Information: Fast-paced, high-acuity environment with common trauma drips and complex patient cases. The unit maintains a 1:4 zone ratio, 1:6 in Fast Track, 1:5 in Observation, and 1:1 in ICU/Trauma. Staff must interpret their own patient strips and work with tele/monitor techs. Orientation includes one week of onboarding plus specific shifts at designated facilities.
