Job Summary:
A registered nurse specializing in medical oncology is needed for a Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) unit in Cincinnati, Ohio. This position involves caring for patients receiving stem cell therapies and participating in clinical trials within a 14- or 16-bed inpatient oncology unit. Candidates must bring their nursing license on the first day of employment.
Job Details:
- Location: Cincinnati, Ohio
- Specialty: Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) Unit
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of registered nurse experience in medical-surgical, telemetry, progressive care unit, BMT, or inpatient oncology settings. Must have 1 year of travel nursing experience.
- Certifications: Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) Chemotherapy Certification required; Oncology Nursing Certification Corporation (ONCC) Chemotherapy-Biotherapy Certification preferred.
- EMR Experience: EPIC Electronic Medical Record (EMR)/charting experience required.
- Schedule: 36 hours per week, consisting of 3 shifts of 12 hours each; scheduled shifts include nights. The candidate will work every other weekend.
- Unit Description: The unit is a BMT/Oncology inpatient setting with patient ratios typically between 1:3 and 1:4. Expected to float to other similar units, including medical/surgical floors.
