Description

Job Summary:
A registered nurse specializing in Labor and Delivery (L&D) located in North Dakota. This position requires a minimum of two years of experience in a similar setting. Candidates must bring their license on the first day. The role involves providing patient care in a rural hospital environment with specific clinical and operational responsibilities.

Job Details:

  • Location: Dickinson, North Dakota
  • Position: Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery (LDRP)
  • Schedule: Nights, with every third weekend and holiday shifts as needed. Minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Certifications Required: Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
  • Required Qualifications: Active nursing license, 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery, certifications in BLS, ACLS, NRP, and ability to pass fit testing with facial hair compliance.
  • Additional Information: This is a rural hospital with limited services located over an hour from the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU). The unit operates with a patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:1-2 during labor and 1:2-3 postpartum, following AWHONN guidelines. Nurses will float to neighboring units as needed, primarily assisting with sitting patients and troubleshooting neonatal ventilators. Orientation includes three 12-hour shifts. Scrubs are provided. RTO requests must be submitted upfront for a maximum of 7 days within the 13-week contract.
