Job Summary:
Psychiatric Nurse in Pennsylvania This position involves providing direct professional nursing care to patients in a psychiatric setting. The role includes assessing patient needs, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing interventions. Candidates are required to bring their nursing license on the first day of assignment.
Job Details:
- Location: State College, Pennsylvania
- Schedule: Night shifts, 8 hours per shift, minimum of 40 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Baccalaureate degree in Nursing preferred; current license to practice professional nursing in Pennsylvania; American Heart Association (AHA) Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) certification renewed every two years; Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (NCI) training renewed every two years; a minimum of one-year full-time experience in psychiatric nursing or employment in a Behavioral Health program preferred. Ability to work cooperatively and communicate effectively with others; professional and supportive demeanor.
