Job Summary
A registered nurse specializing in post-anesthesia care unit (PACU) located in Walla Walla, Washington. The position involves providing postoperative patient monitoring and care, including assessments, medication administration, and ensuring safe recovery from anesthesia. Candidates are required to bring their active license on the first day of employment. The role requires a minimum of two years of experience in a similar setting and involves working days with a shift of 8 hours and a minimum of 40 hours per week.
Job Details
- Location: Walla Walla, Washington
- Schedule: Day shifts, 8 hours per shift, minimum of 40 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Valid Washington or Compact registered nurse (RN) license (required at time of submission), valid Allied Health license (if applicable), current certifications in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS); minimum two years of PACU or similar experience; experience with charting using Epic system; ability to work in preoperative, postoperative, and PACU settings; experience with patient ratios of 1-5; and previous charge nurse experience preferred.
- Additional Qualifications: Experience in monitored anesthesia care, airway assessment, medication reconciliation, and handling complex procedures such as cath lab work, neuro-spine, and vascular surgeries.
- Float: Not required to float between units.
- Additional Information: Candidates should be prepared to float within the facility across relevant units. Return to Providence staff must wait 3 months before submitting as travelers. All modules are non-billable, averaging 16 hours, and must be completed prior to start. Over 20 hours require program manager approval. Candidates must include the last four digits of SSN and responses regarding prior work at Providence facilities with submission.
