Description
Job Summary:
The labor and delivery department in Portland, Oregon, is seeking a Certified Obstetrics (CERT OB) Technician for a night shift position. This role involves providing specialized supportive care within the labor and delivery unit of the healthcare provider. Candidates are required to bring their professional license on the first day of employment.
Job Details:
- Location: Portland, Oregon
- Shift: Nights, with a minimum of 36 hours per week
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), Certified Obstetrics (CERT OB)
- Experience: 1 year of relevant experience in labor and delivery settings
- Required Qualifications: Valid license, 1 year clinical experience in labor and delivery, BLS certification, ability to demonstrate proficiency in aseptic technique, equipment documentation, isolation precautions and personal protective equipment (PPE), handling of specimens, and adherence to universal protocol (time out).
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Epic electronic medical record system, experience in labor and delivery units
- Special Requirements: Candidates must have a vehicle for this assignment.
- Additional Information: Candidates should be prepared for scheduled holiday coverage, including Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day. All scheduling and specific time-off requests must be submitted upfront during application.
- Submission Requirements: Must include responses regarding previous employment at a healthcare facility, work at a Providence facility, and related details. Two references covering the last 1 year (or 6 months for CNAs) are required.
