Description

Job Summary:
This Registered Nurse (RN) position in Long Term Care located in Chicago, Illinois, involves providing quality patient care in a healthcare facility. The RN supervises nursing staff and collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of assignment.

Job Details:

  • Location: Chicago, Illinois
  • Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 48 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license; BLS Certification required prior to first shift; ACLS Certification required prior to first shift (CIRH only); at least two (2) years of bedside clinical experience; experience in skilled nursing or step-down units is highly desired
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience in Long Term Care settings, additional certifications related to geriatric or specialty care
  • Float: Float rotation may be required
  • Additional Information: The RN performs nursing assessments within 8 hours of patient admission, develops individualized care plans, and provides patient education and discharge planning. The role includes supervising ancillary staff, ensuring safety protocols, and participating in team activities to promote a positive work environment.
