Description
Job Summary:
The location is in Plattsburgh, New York. This is a Registered Nurse (RN) position for a medical surgical with telemetry specialty at the organization. The role involves working in a resource pool, floating, and covering medical surgical telemetry units. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day. The assignment is urgent, with an estimated duration of 13 to 16 weeks, and scheduled for night shifts.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shift hours, minimum 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications:
- Certifications: AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) required, CMSRN preferred
- Education: RN licensure valid for New York state, or proof of application with applied date (processing time is 6-8 weeks), minimum of 1 year experience in a clinical setting, and Epic electronic medical record experience within the past two years (non-negotiable)
- Experience: At least 1 year as an RN in a similar setting
- Location: New York license or proof of application required at time of submission
- Additional Information:
- A NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) assessment will be required prior to starting
- Bi-weekly orientations scheduled on Mondays, with the next available on 07/13
- All employment gaps over 90 days must be explained
- All work history details (bed count, EMR, facility type, etc.) must be complete for submission
- Public transportation is not accessible; reliable personal, rental, or own vehicle strongly recommended, equipped with all-season or snow tires during November to April
